Who We Are
SOUNDS Academy is a nonprofit based in Phoenix, Arizona whose mission is to provide music education to underserved children.

What We Need
We are looking to fill a variety of volunteer roles from front desk greeting on Saturdays to instrument inventory management to assistance with upcoming fundraising events and concerts.
1. Helping at our Central Office (2927 E. Campbell Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85016)
- Front Desk Greeter (Saturdays Urgent)
- Opening & Closing the Facility
- Data Entry
- Compile and Organize Packets
- Contact Parents
- Prepare awards for students, teachers, etc.
- Be a room attendant for our end of year exams
- Student Registration
- Document Translation
2. Helping at our Events
- Set up venue and break down for events (performance, fundraising, etc.)
- Photographer and/or Videographer; Photo Booth
- Student Attendant (Backstage)
- Be a Stage Director (guide performers on/off stage, set up mics & stands etc.)
- Work as ushers at events (seat guests, give directions to restrooms)
- Present awards, prizes etc. to teachers, students etc.
- Help with raffles prizes & silent auctions
- Update social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Serve refreshments
- Manage Instrument Petting Zoos
- Booth / Table Management
3. Fundraising, Stewardship, & Inventory
- Instrument Management
- Cleaning Instruments
- Instrument Pickup / Delivery
- Thank You Calls
- Handwritten Letters
- Envelope Stuffing
Events Include:
- Sounds of Seamus (at Seamus McCaffrey's)
- May: The Benefit Concert
- Cover the Crescent (at Crescent Ballroom)
- October: Speakeasy
- Instrument Petting Zoos
- Master Classes
- School & Community Concerts

SOUNDS Academy is a non-profit music education program that teaches, mentors, and provides musical experiences and opportunities to underserved youth.
Description
Today SOUNDS Academy gives instruments and weekly instruction to 300 students through its Community and Strings Programs. They have served over 19,000 students through the Musical Access Program. They do this through outreach programs that focus on teaching the values of creativity, leadership, perseverance, resilience, and teamwork through music education.
Our vision is to provide music education opportunities to a wide variety of children while removing any barriers that children may have in receiving quality music education. We serve underserved communities, primarily in West and South Phoenix, Arizona that do not have music education due to affordability and accessibility.
