The Tidewater Tip Off Tournament is a regional qualifying basketball tournament held for Special Olympics Virginia athletes. The event begins with an Opening Ceremony kick off followed by tournament play involving full court, half court, and skills competition.
Event volunteers are needed to assist with team/volunteer registration, set-up, clean-up, score/time keeping and of course cheering for our athletes. Event Volunteers must be age 14, unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone. Email Izzy at inelson@specialolympicsva.org with any questions.
*Please note - all volunteers must be vaccinated*
Referees do not have to be certified refs (if you are, that is a bonus) but volunteers that sign up as referees are required to know the rules of the game, comfortable in calling violations and keeping control of the games.
