Mayor Dyer’s Beautify Fresno initiative is partnering with Refinery West Church to host a cleanup event in west Fresno on Monday, January 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., as part of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Day of Service. MLK Day is a federal holiday that honors the legacy of Dr. King and encourages all Americans to volunteer their time to efforts that benefit their community.
This cleanup event will concentrate on cleaning the stretch of Marks Avenue between Clinton and Shields Avenues.
Volunteers are asked to meet at the northwest corner of Princeton and Marks beginning at 9:45 a.m., to check in and receive instructions.
Beautify Fresno will provide trash bags, paper pickers, vests, and gloves.
In an effort to keep you safe during this pandemic, Beautify Fresno will follow guidance from our national advisers at Keep America Beautiful, as well as all health and safety protocols from the CDC and the Fresno County Department of Public Health.
