Financial Beginnings is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 2005 with the mission to empower youth and adults to take control of their financial futures. We fulfill our mission by providing no-cost financial education programming to schools and community groups. We focus our efforts on underserved populations and partner with community volunteers that share a similar passion for spreading financial literacy by teaching Financial Beginnings curricula. We secure the volunteer opportunities, deliver all the materials, and provide step-by- step instructions on how to effectively deliver the programs. We offer in-person and virtual opportunities for all volunteers and encourage volunteer to connect with schools and nonprofits they'd like to teach at in their own communities.

Mission Statement

Our Mission Financial Beginnings empowers youth and adults to take control of their financial futures. Our Vision We envision a world where individuals cease to see finances as a barrier and instead view them as a tool to realize their dreams. In a financially capable and literate nation, individuals are vested in, and contribute to, a healthy economic system nationally, regionally, and in their neighborhoods.

Description

Financial Beginnings empowers youth and adults to take control of their financial futures. We provide accessible and unbiased financial education at no-cost through a volunteer-driven model delivered through partnerships with schools and community partners. We teach individuals how to play an active role in their financial well-being and promote equitable opportunities for economic advancement. Developing this knowledge increases available life opportunities such as home ownership, higher education, and secure retirement. Our programs serve all groups, but focus on populations most in need. What really sets us apart are the volunteers who engage program participants with their personal and professional life experiences.
