Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) is seeking a trans woman to be a BIG and provide support for Eden: a sweet, bright, Jewish transgender girl (she/her) who lives with her wonderful family in the Brookline/Newton/Needham area. Eden enjoys simple pleasures like going to the candy store or getting pizza. She is open to activities both inside and outside her home. She likes reading, playing board/card games, going to playgrounds, and ice skating. Eden loves her elementary school and especially loves her teachers who report that she is an engaged and happy student.

The best fit match would be a trans woman (ages 21-32) who can provide support and boost Eden’s self-esteem. Someone positive, creative, kind, and enjoys being with children would be great. They can be Jewish or not Jewish. Matches agree to meet 2x/mo for 2-4 hours, mostly weekends, and make at least a year commitment. Car and valid license required. Volunteers from all religions, ethnicities, and backgrounds welcome. Match support provided by Clinical Match Specialists. LGBTQ+ Program includes trainings and meetups.
