Recruiting Organization: Preserving a Picturesque America

Length: 6-12 Months Part-Time (5-10 hours per week); Unpaid

Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in video production, film, conservation work, art, and/or history. The Video Production Volunteer is responsible for assisting Preserving a Picturesque America (PAPA) in creating a visual representation of our conservation work in the community through video.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture and edit content that portrays the work PAPA does. This will require outdoor work and some local travel.
• Operate and maintain proper levels and calibration of PAPA cameras, recorders, and other production equipment.
• Work closely with the Executive Director to execute concepts through to completion.

Acquired Knowledge:

• A high school Diploma
• A minimum of 1 year of experience creating, editing, and publishing online videos
• Knowledge of video production workflows (i.e.: Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
• Knowledge of full Adobe Create Suite is a plus
• Basic computer skills; such as MAC or Microsoft Windows

About the organization: Preserving a Picturesque America was formed to protect our country’s natural spaces and historic treasures. In collaboration with local artists and conservation groups, we raise funds needed to help with protection efforts in regions across the U.S., such as invasive species removal, vandalism protection, and trail maintenance, to name a few.
