Enjoy one of the most beautiful settings along the Denali Highway and close to Denali National Park.
Brushkana Creek Campground is located near mile 104 of the Denali Highway. It is approximately 35 minutes from the Parks Highway north of Wasilla Alaska.
Most sites are along the rushing Brushkana Creek which holds the Arctic Grayling. Shoreside fishing is available.
Due to the location there is no cell coverage. BLM will provide a Sat phone which can be used to make daily calls to the Glennallen Field Office for Host safety check -ins and visitor information. Hosts may need to use the Brushkana Creek trail within the campground to get to a high enough point for service.
A tax free reimbursable rate of $84.00 per each work day will be paid. Hosts will need to provide their own trailer or RV for camping. BLM provides gas for generators and propane for cooking or heating. Host schedules are either 5 days on and two days off or ten days on and four days off. We do ask that Hosts work weekend days. BLM will pay for mileage at a rate of .14 per mile for trips to the Glennallen Field office to use laundry services and showers for you day off and mileage to Brushkana at the beginning of the season and then your return home.
The closest dump station is on the west side of the Denali highway less than one mile from the Parks Highway. Water is provided by a hand pump close to the Host site.
Denali National Park entrance in approximately 45 minutes from the campground. Along the way you will find several businesses providing lodging and restaurants. North of Denali Park is a busy area of hotels, souvenir stores a small groceries are available. The closest multiservice store and medical clinic is located in Healy, approximately 1 1/2 hour from the campground. State Police have offices in Cantwell (Mile 1 of the Denali Highway) and in Healy.
Brushkana Creek Campground sees the highest use in July through September. There is a possibility that the campground may not open until late June and that the handpump may not be thawed until that time. If this occurs, BLM will pay for a campsite in the Glennallen area until you can access the Brushkana Creek Campground.

Mission Statement
The Bureau of Land Management's mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
Description
The BLM manages 245 million acres of public lands and 700 million acres of mineral estate. These public lands and subsurface acres are integral to the lives and livelihoods of communities and families across the country. We promote multiple-use on public lands to maximize opportunities for commercial, recreational, and conservation activities. This promotes healthy and productive public lands that create jobs in local communities while supporting traditional land uses such as responsible energy development, timber harvesting, grazing, and recreation, including hunting and fishing.
