Aloha!!
Project Hawai’i, Inc. is seeking a blogger to help build our blog on our website and share on social media platforms. We are a volunteer staffed nonprofit that runs 100% by public donations. Our mission is to help homeless children succeed, break their cycle of poverty they were born into.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- min. commitment 90 days (3 months)
- be available to post once a week on our site and share to social media platforms
- have excellent writing skills, story telling abilities
- love being involved in making change
- be able to follow our programs events to write about. take our impact and turn it into a story
- be open to researching homelessness in Hawaii, or about homeless children, etc to make a compelling story
- this can be used as an intern position, practicum and will have reference letters when needed
- marketing and networking skills are required

Description
Project Hawai’i, Inc. is an award-winning volunteer staffed nonprofit that provides services to over 1,600 individual homeless children annually across the islands of O'ahu, Maui and the Big Island of Hawai'i. The nonprofit strives to change the lives of children by providing a sense of stability through interactive programs, including educational summer camps, holiday events, school support, and educational training. Additionally, the nonprofit provides monthly outreach support to assure that children are supplied with healthy meals, personal hygiene care, and emergency services.
Since the foundations inception in 2003, we are proud to announce we have successfully helped over 2,000 homeless children escape and BREAK their cycle of poverty as they continue to build their families with a strong foundation.
In Hawaii, there are over 23,000 children living in substandard and homeless situations.
Our mission is to help end the cycle of poverty for Hawaiian Children (keiki)
