Columbus Sole Survivors is a nonprofit walking and running group dedicated to supporting women who are battling and recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.

We are looking for an energetic, creative Volunteer Events and Social Media Coordinator to join Columbus Sole Survivors. In this role, you will research upcoming races, reach out to race organizers regarding charity bibs and schedule and book all races for the year. You will also be the voice of our supporting running and walking group by crafting original content, communicating with our followers and posting to our social media platforms.

Volunteer Events and Social Media Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Create original written and visual content and effectively post on Instagram and Facebook platforms
• Become engaged in our community by building relationships with members in our group and vendors within our industry
• Network with local race organizers
• Schedule races and complete sign up for attendees
• Initiate brainstorming sessions on events for the year

Volunteer Events and Social Media Coordinator Requirements:

• Experience in events management and social media
• 10-15 volunteer hours/month
• Working knowledge of Google Sheets
• Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
• A creative mindset
• Excellent organization and team-building skills
• Passionate about substance abuse recovery
• Optional: attend at least one walking/running meetup per month
