The death of a loved one often sends us down a path we never wanted to travel.
You can help a griever feel supported and ensure that they not feel alone during their grief journey.
If you have experienced a sense of healing or renewal on your grief journey following a significant loss
-we invite you to consider serving our bereaved community as a Grief Mentor.
Application, background check and interview are required. Once selected you will receive training, resources
and ongoing support from the Bereavement Team.

Description
Sonata Hospice Volunteers are trained to meet the needs of families and patients by providing companionship and short-term respite care. These volunteers are hand-selected and trained. Following reference and background checks, these individuals complete extensive training prior to working with patients. Volunteers make things easier by offering caregiver relief’, companionship, sharing of special interests, letter writing, reading to the patient or help with errands. We are always looking for quality volunteers. Please contact us to learn more about how you can help bring comfort to those in need.
