Patient companions urgently needed in Seymour, Hartville, Mountain Grove, and surrounding area.
ORGANIZATION: Preferred Hospice of Southwest Missouri
Please visit the new page to apply.
Preferred Hospice of Ozark, Missouri is in urgent need of volunteers in our more rural areas such as Hartville, Mansfield, Mountain Grove and Seymour. Patients are in need of companionship through visits with our volunteers. Many of our patients in long term care facilities have been quite isolated since the beginning of the pandemic and would greatly benefit from visits with people like you. Most patients enjoy simple conversation, but others may be interested in reading, puzzles, games, etc. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator Ann Blake at 417.581.4968 or via email at ablake.oz@preferredhospice.com to schedule a time to further discuss this opportunity and begin the application and background check. Preferred Hospice does require a drug screen, annual TB tests, and frequent COVID tests. A copy of your vaccination card would be appreciated, but it is not required. Mileage accrued from visiting patients is reimbursed at $.47 a mile.
