My Sister’s House Treasures is located in the heart of Japantown in Sacramento selling gently used Asian and Pacific Islander collectables, items for home decor, housewares and fashion. All items in the store are donated and all proceeds to toward our Women to Work program. Open Tuesday-Saturday from 11AM-6PM.

We are seeking volunteers to help run our thrift shop! Shifts are from 11AM-3PM or 3PM-6PM, Tuesday through Saturday. Volunteer duties involve light housekeeping, donation intake, and cashiering. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, please contact Leilani at LLIM@my-sisters-house.org.

Mission Statement

The mission of My Sister's House is to serve Asian and Pacific Islander and other underserved women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by providing a culturally appropriate and responsive safe haven, job training, and community services.

Description

My Sister's House is the Central Valley's only domestic violence shelter for battered Asian/Pacific Islander women and children. In addition to the shelter, My Sister's House provides a 24/7 Multi-Lingual Help Line ((916) 428-3271); a Women to Work Program to help domestic violence survivors of all ethnicities transition to work successfully; and outreach and education.
