Our greatest need at the moment is volunteers to help deliver meals Monday - Friday, to client homes throughout Polk County (approximately 10-20 stops). Volunteer drivers check in at 10:30am at our office (944 18 th Street, Des Moines), and typically return before 1:00pm.
Volunteers who prefer a shorter time commitment may choose to deliver to residents of specific apartment buildings from 11:00am - 12:00pm. We have drop & pick-up options for apartments routes - no need to come into the office!
We have partnered with United 55+, where individuals 55+ can apply to be reimbursed for mileage if the application is approved!
**COVID Vaccine Required - If not vaccinated, medical & religious exemptions to fill out are available**
