The Konnection is currently in search of 4 committed Academic Coaches for the 2022-23 academic school year (September-June). Academic coaches are responsible for helping middle school students (6th-8th) come up with academic goals and stay on track for the school year!
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and running fun academic activities/games around Math and Reading
- Keeping track of progress reports and attendance
- Encouraging students to improve their grades
- Homework help/tutoring
Qualifications:
- Must be committed, fun and engaging
- Must be able to volunteer on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3pm-5pm
- Must have experience working in with middle school aged students
- Must have experience working in urban areas
- Must pass background check

he Konnection is a mentoring program designed to encourage and empower youth to improve school performance and attendance through travel. The Konnection partners with middle and high schools in underserved communities to provide resources, college readiness, career pathways, and travel opportunities. Youth are equipped with the knowledge, leadership skills, experience, and confidence to succeed in every area of life in any environment across the world .
