THINK YOU'D L IKE TO VOLUNTEER?

If you do, we have several different volunteer positions available in our pantry!

We are looking for volunteers every Tuesday evening and Saturday morning to help us run The Hope Market local food pantry.

Greeter:
Must be friendly and inviting. In this station you will greet every client that comes
through the door, taking their full name and some other information then
showing them to their seat if we have a bit of a wait.

Runner:
Is attention to detail your strong point? Come be a runner! We will have you fill orders for our clients based on an individually filled out order sheet.

Pantry Aide:
You will work with each client to make sure they get their food and get it bagged.
You are what they are here for. So smile!

Helper:
Are you strong? Don't mind breaking a sweat if it is helping someone? Than maybe
we can count on you to help our clients carry their groceries to their vehicle.

Mission Statement

The Hope Market mission is to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in our community, through the distribution of nutritious food and personal hygiene items. We empower neighbors to share resources, providing opportunities towards an improved quality of life.

Description

God's timing is perfect and man's, really is not. We wanted to open a food pantry in 2019 but nothing was coming together. After 3 months of trying to make it work, we gave up. Then, in November of 2020, God showed us it was time. Out of nowhere, we were offered a free space to use at The ARC through our church, Restoration Church Gardner. We opened 4 weeks later with fully stocked shelves and volunteers ready to help. We currently serve over 170 families in the Gardner/Edgerton area.
