Whether on a hike, in a canoe, or using a magnifying glass, you’re in love with exploration. You also love facilitating immersive learning. You love the outdoors. You love working with people of all ages and background to help them build their best selves.
Team Imo is always looking for experienced or growing adventure facilitators to help round out a pool of program staff for per diem events and programs. We are seeking engaging educators dedicated to asking questions as much as giving answers. Areas of special focus are:
- Hike guides
- Nature education specialists
- Flatwater paddling guides
- Challenge course facilitators
- Wilderness skills instructors
- Wellness and mindfulness experts
- Leave No Trace instructors
- American Red Cross instructors
- Dialogue facilitators for community programs
- STEAM educators
We are seeking a combination of experienced and certified facilitators as well as new facilitators with a passion for adventure & nature education who are dedicated to gaining training and experience. This opportunity does lead to the potential for per diem work in 2023 as we develop our capacity.
Interested volunteers will succeed in a comprehensive interview process given the nature of the duties and skills required to run programs safely and effectively. They will also pass a comprehensive series of background and reference checks that qualify them to work with children and youth. Please include a description of your experience with skills and/or education when expressing interest.
Team Imo is happy to provide you the space to grow, learn, and develop your interests within our growing charitable organization.
