Did you know? Baltimore and Odesa are Sister Cities!
We're in need of a grant writer to help us scale up and get funding for the activities we hope to offer for the Baltimore and Odesa community.
Baltimore-Odesa Sister City Commitee fosters international cooperation and aims to support mutual understanding between the people of Baltimore and the Ukrainian city of Odesa. The Committee develops and promotes opportunities for exchange among individuals, groups, and organizations in the City of Baltimore. BOSCC endeavors to support all of the Baltimore region’s activities and programs in support of Ukraine and the local Ukrainian community. These activities can range in priority towards Arts and Culture, Education, Public Administration/Governance, and more!

The Sister Cities International program was established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956 to create a force for international cooperation and understanding through community involvement by promoting peace through people-to-people relationships. The Baltimore Sister Cities (BSC) Program was established in the early 1970's by then Mayor William Donald Schaefer. The Baltimore-Odesa Sister City Committee (BOSCC) was established in 1974 and is the second oldest relationship managed by Baltimore Sister Cities, Inc, a non-profit 501c3 corporation.
We're eager to have you join our team to apply for City, State, and/or Federal grant opportunities. Whether connecting student exchange programs, meeting with diplomats, going to Ukranian ballets, promoting holidays, sharing education of folk-lore and heritage, there's so much to share between our communities and we want to keep the connection thriving.
Thank you for you interest in our cause.
Sincerely,
Karina Mandell
