AseraCare Hospice is seeking caring and compassionate individuals who would be willing to spend time with patients and families simply by accompanying them during their final journey. Companions offer a healing presence by deep compassion and generous listening.
Volunteers are provided with free training and can work flexible hours that suit their schedule!
Skills needed: Interpersonal skills: Volunteers need to fit any mode: engage in conversations from superficial to the spiritually profound, depending on the day. Also be comfortable with silence.
