Recruiting Organization: Peace News

PN Trustees was set up to act as trustees for the property owned by the company in Kings Cross and the subsidiary companies of Peace News newspaper and Housmans Bookshop.

Peace News Trustees supports pacifist and other radical campaigning movements by publishing Peace News, a bi-monthly pacifist newspaper, hosting Housmans Bookshop, and providing affordable office space for campaigning organisations and charities in our central London building.

We are looking for board members (non-executive and remunerated on an expenses only basis) who preferably can offer skills or experience in one or more of the following: book-keeping, company secretary and minute-taking, property management, governance and organisational strategy. If you don’t have any of these specific sills, but would like to learn, we can help! Alternatively, if you are interested but don't think you can offer any particular skills apart from providing a general overview, do get in touch, we'd still like to hear from you. Your time commitment is up to you.

We welcome all applications, but are particularly seeking women or non-binary people, and/or people of colour, as these are communities which are currently under-represented on the board.

NB The Trustees Board meets four times a year, usually in London (but online recently). We’ll cover your travel expenses. A commitment to nonviolence is essential!
