Ecosystem Restoration Camp partner, Camp Coyote, is seeking a social media volunteer for online support 1-4 hours per week to help in getting the word out about events, fundraising, and projects. Located in Coyote Valley, California, Camp Coyote's mission is to host impactful events, educate people, and demonstrate ways of reintegrating humans into the stewardship of Earth.

EcoCamp Coyote is a permaculture farm, community and ecosystem restoration camp situated in the South Bay area of California in the US. The site was formerly a sod farm and is now an off-grid community and event space for demonstrating appropriate technology, radical re-use, and cultivation of biodiversity and soil health. The organization supports the regenerative ecological movement by hosting educational camping events, coordinating restoration projects, and evolving methods for prolific and resilient communities.

The time commitment of this volunteer role is 1-4 hours per week. Activities include meeting virtually with the site leads, writing and regularly posting quality content on social media, drafting quarterly newsletters, and keeping participants updated and engaged to help us achieve our mission.


Social Media Volunteer Project Plan

Prep: Initial Assessment & Goal Setting. Volunteer Manager provides the Volunteer with the strategic vision for social media engagement. Volunteer manager shares pictures, videos and content with Volunteer. Volunteer and Volunteer Manager decide on specific schedules for posting, terms of engagement, and upcoming campaigns, and discuss the preferred way of collaborating.

Milestone 1: Brainstorm & Coaching Plan Draft. Volunteer shares first draft posts with Volunteer Manager. Volunteer Manager gives feedback with comments and questions, with focus on target audience and goals of posts. Volunteer and Volunteer Manager agree on schedule and content for following posts.

Milestone 2: Maintenance. Volunteer and Volunteer Manager connect regularly to check in on success and get up to date content. Volunteer drafts a process document to aid next volunteer

Milestone 3: Wrap-up Session. Volunteer and Volunteer Manager meet for a wrap-up session to review the term and work accomplished. Volunteer provides feedback which may be helpful to Volunteer Manager and future volunteers in this position.
