About Mosqoy

Mosqoy works with Indigenous Quechua communities in the Peruvian Andes to mitigate the adverse effects of unsustainable tourism and development by providing economic and educational opportunities that nurture their threatened Indigenous culture. It does so through two social enterprises and a charitable program. Mosqoy Peruvian Textiles provides fair trade market access to Quechua artisans of remote highland communities. The Mosqoy Field School inspires Canadian students to be more responsible travellers and consumers. The Mosqoy Youth Program is our charitable program that provides post-secondary educational scholarships to marginalized but promising Quechua youth to then be employable in their communities’ new job sectors. We believe in empowering local communities through international solidarity and networking, sharing stories of celebration, struggle, and strength.
