NOAH Financial Capability Program Facilitator
The Neighborhood of Affordable Housing (NOAH) is an East Boston-based nonprofit structured to collaborate with and support residents/communities in their pursuit of affordable housing, environmental justice, community planning, leadership development, and economic development opportunities. NOAH's goals and programs are built on a commitment to equality, fairness, diversity, and respect for all people. Unfortunately, with the cost of housing, and medicine on the rise, we see that our community members are struggling to achieve their financial goals. NOAH hopes to give low-income community members the tools, resources, and knowledge necessary to improve their financial well-being.

Specifically, the VISTA will work to develop a revised Financial Literacy Workshop series by: recruiting experts in finance to volunteer as teachers/coaches, coordinating workshops held in English and Spanish, and marketing to low-income people in the Boston area. To do this, the VISTA will assess the current program, research similar successful programs, and make any changes to the program deemed necessary.
Responsibilities include:
- Track Financial Capability program participants through the program lifecycle using spreadsheets and CRM (client relationship management) tools
- Plan, market, and facilitate Financial Capability workshops held in English and Spanish
- Develop outreach strategies to recruit volunteers and partnerships from other organizations
- Analyze client data and surveys to create more intentional programming and marketing strategies
- Keep up-to-date records of program deliverables for reporting purposes
