Willow House, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping youth and their families grieving due to the death of a parent or sibling ( www.willowhouse.org), is seeking Volunteer Facilitators for children and teens grief support groups.

Volunteer Facilitators are asked to make a commitment to co-facilitate at least one group monthly for one year (September through May). All support groups are in held in the evenings from 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm. A comprehensive training is offered in September that includes: an experiential and instructive guiding framework for understanding the grief and loss experience of children, teens and families; reviews of educational information and research regarding children and grief; and instruction on how to be an effective peer support group facilitator.

In-person facilitator training will take place at our Bannockburn headquarters, 2231 Lakeside Dr., on Saturday, September 18th from 9 am to 4 pm; Wednesday, September 22nd from 6 pm to 9 pm; and Saturday, September 25th from 9 am - 4 pm.
