Recruiting Organization: Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital

Opportunity1.

The Ascension Saint Agnes TRC Chaperone Shuttle ( Golf Cart) operates on the hospital's campus only.

The main aim of the golf cart sized shuttle is to assist patients navigating the hospital campus to get around more easily. This would aid in improving patient experience and service as well as reduce patient stress and anxiety.

Our program supports older adults and patients with disabilities.

Opportunity 2.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!!

The Saint Agnes Health Institute received a grant to implement a Volunteer Chaperone Program for older adults and adults with disabilities who come to our clinics and doctor's offices via our Lyft program. Some of these patients could use assistance helping them from their home doorstep to the door of the Lyft car and then from the Lyft to the hospital door and back home again.

This little extra support, we hope, will help with keeping appointments and also improving overall health.

If you are interested but not comfortable riding in the Lyft car with the patient(preferred with precautions), there are funds available to pay for your own Lyft ride. Then you would follow the patient after helping them into their car.

If that is still not enough social distancing for you we are also looking for volunteers to make phone calls. Volunteers will call the patients in advance to remind them of their upcoming Lyft ride and call again to make sure they got home.
