The Agency Partnership Lead is responsible for the creation and maintenance of strategic relationships with agencies throughout Essex County. The primary objective of this position is to generate new sources for new client referrals and deepen the relationship with existing partners by sharing resources and creating opportunities for joint alliances and partnerships. This role is critical in our plans to become immersed into the communities we serve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee team members working with specific segments of our service population (ie.-college campus outreach, social service agency outreach, high schools, and others

Serve as a liaison between volunteer team members and staff.

Promote DFSNNJ and its endeavors with new and existing partners for the purpose of generating sources of new clients.

Maintain database of key contacts, status, and record of partnership opportunities and outcomes.

Exchange information between DFSNNJ and partners in order to share resources with shared clients.

Provide regular updates to staff on agency recruitment for reporting purposes.

Increase the number of agencies and clients by 10% annually

Organize and hold 1-2 agency outreach and appreciation events annually

Assist with the creation of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), processes, and policies related to the agency outreach and relationship management

Prepare content for newsletters and social media channels to highlight new partnerships


Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

High School Diploma or its equivalent GED; Bachelor’s degree or certification in related field preferred

Strong organizational skills

Proven customer focus and experience in providing a positive, upbeat service environment

Strong communication skills that enable this individual to work with staff, volunteers, and clients from a variety of backgrounds (including those with differing ethnicities, beliefs, education levels, economic backgrounds and life experiences)

Capable of handling client information in a confidential manner and responding with sensitivity

Must be able to work well independently but also function seamlessly as a member of a broader team

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
