Start Date: April 2022

Placement Length: 6 months with the possibility of extension

Language Requirements: English Reading and Speaking Level 5-Fluent, Writing Level 4-Advanced

The Volunteer’s Role

If you are passionate about improving the economic and social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls this role might be for you!

As the Program Start up advisor you will work closely with the project team to conduct Organizational capacity needs assessments of our partners. You will also help them in developing their capacities-based violence training addressing sexual and gender, early and forced marriage and gender mutilation

As a volunteer, you will:
  • Support with conducting Organizational Capacity Assessment
  • Support Partnership Development process.
  • Identify and conduct/recommend training in areas of need as exposed during the CAP process.

Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degreen in Health, Program Development, or any other Social Science related field.

Essential Background:
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in Health and/or Program Management.
  • Skills particularly in Organizational Capacity Assessment, working with groups and teams of professionals, and liaising with government and non-government organizations;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience in learning facilitation
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Fundraising

We ask each volunteer, regardless of placement length, to raise $2,000. All volunteers receive support from Cuso International to help achieve the goal through fundraising. If the volunteer chooses not to fundraise or is unable to achieve the fundraising goal, he/she can make a one-time donation or become a monthly donor to support our work.
