Recruiting Organization: National Shattering Silence Coalition
Research and follow the work of SAHMSA and the Interdepartmental Serious Mental Illness Coordinating Committee (ISMICC). Research congressional legislation pertaining to serious brain illnesses commonly referred to as "serious mental illness" and assist our Policy Action Committee with writing letters, position statements, etc. in order to be a voice for those with serious brain disorders and their families who suffer right along with them. Are you a writer/editor passionate about changing discriminatory policies to improve the lives of those affected by serious brain disorders? Then this position is a perfect fit for your skillset.
The National Shattering Silence Coalition speaks out about federal, state, and local policies that impact adults and children living with serious brain disorders (SBD), commonly referred to as "serious mental illnesses," and advocates for change. We are voices for the 14.2 million adults and 8 million children living with and dying far to young from serious brain disorders.
