We are seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Officer to serve as an active and collaborative volunteer of the ISSF Board of Directors to coordinate our social media activities. As the Social Media Officer, you will support the International Safe Shelter Foundation’s mission while being responsible for coordinating our social media strategy to increase our online presence and improve our marketing, outreach, and fundraising efforts. You will be working closely with other members of the board.

· Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy

· Attend bi-monthly board meetings and report updates on social media activity

· Manage and oversee social media content (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, ISSF website)

· Measure the success of social media campaigns

· Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer

· Work with board members to ensure content is informative and appealing

· Provide constructive feedback

· Experience as a Social Media Officer or similar role

· Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and other social media best practices

· Understanding of SEO and web analytics

· Familiarity with web design and publishing

· Experience working with non-profits, international development, and/or domestic violence issues

· Develop and hone professional and personal skills that can be added to your resume and portfolio

· Contribute valuable skills and knowledge to a cause that you are passionate about

· Help this organization improve to better serve its priority population

· Work with great people with the same dedication and become part of a community that wishes to eliminate domestic and gender-based violence
