Treasure Hunter/Merchandise Assembler

Save to Favorites

Recruiting Organization: OneSource Center for Nonprofit Excellence

Put your treasure hunting skills to good use and help our community in the process. We receive weekly shipments from major national retail chains of merchandise that has been returned or discarded. Items need to be unloaded, sorted, organized and priced. We may be surprised as you by what you find.

The products you find will be made available to nonprofits at cents on the dollar. Past shipments include office furniture (desks/chairs/file cabinets), personal care items, child-care supplies, toys home goods, and more. These goods are then put on our shelves for cents on the dollar for nonprofits looking for ways to stretch their dollars as they serve their clients.

Nonprofits benefiting from our operation include homeless shelters, child care centers, community centers, animal care shelters, and more.

This activity is a great way to learn about our community and the services nonprofits provide to their clients.

Of course we ask that you observe all well established infection reduction measures, such as using a cloth shield that covers your mouth and nose when within 6 feet of others, avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, and vigorously washing your hands.

Optimally, you will volunteer a couple of hours a week for an extended period of time.

Our hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 9:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.

And, thank you for considering us as your place to volunteer!
