Recruiting Organization: At Home With Growing Older (AHWGO)

At Home With Growing Older is a 12 year old grass roots nonprofit 501.c3 organization with a successful track record in participatory, interdisciplinary and intergenerational programming and community building.

You have the opportunity to be part of driving transformational change both within our organization and throughout the field of aging nationally.

We are seeking a professional volunteer to head our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Initiative.

Duties include

-Develop a reading list for staff, the Board, and our mailing list.

-In collaboration with the staff and volunteers, develop an outreach plan, including investigating local and national organizations and individuals and cultivating relationships with organizations and individuals.

-Assist with programming and outreach.

-Assist with partnership development.

-Produce a final assessment report.

-Other projects and assignments may be given on a case-by-case basis based on your interest.

Skills

-Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.

-An interest in changing the world for the better, particularly with regard to diverse aging populations, through the lens of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
