Welcome to Nepal, a land of stunning nature and rich diverse culture! This summer join Volunteer Society Nepal for a three weeks volunteer and travel experience in this ancient Himalayan kingdom. Volunteer Society Nepal’s summer volunteer program gives you an opportunity to explore three different regions of the country and to engage in the most spectacular natural, cultural, and wildlife experiences Nepal has to offer.
This remarkable trip will allow you to discover as much as possible in your short time, while giving back to the local Nepali communities around you. Whether your dream is to watch basking Gharial/Marsh crocodiles, to splash with an elephant in a jungle river, to stroll in the medieval streets of Kathmandu or to relax on a boat in Fewa Lake with mirror images of Annapurna Himalayan ranges - we will make it real.
Where will you be going? The tour starts in the Kathmandu Valley, with its UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site cities of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur, and then takes you south to Chitwan to explore a National Wildlife Park famed for its unique and endangered floras and faunas. From there the journey heads north to the fantastic Lake City of Pokhara. Your cultural journey through Nepal is enriched by opportunities to volunteer at one or more of Volunteer Society Nepal’s projects across the country: teaching English, sports, or IT in schools; working in an orphanage, helping the children with intellectual disability at its care centre, or with women’s groups, or taking part in construction.
Who are you? This three weeks program has been designed for travelers seeking a unique holiday that combines volunteering, cultural engagement, and sightseeing in the mountains and jungles of Nepal.
