PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

o Conduct community outreach to ensure maximum participation with respect to the work of IWI, its events and campaigns. Build relationships with civic, business, faith community, and other organisations or individuals that can move the influence and recognition of IWI forward.

o Assist staff and Director of Partnerships in incorporating community concerns and issues in IWI’s strategic and operating annual plans.

o Develop and facilitate relationships between relevant community stakeholders to manage the implementation of selected events and campaigns.

o Develop and maintain productive relationships with various stakeholder groups, which will in turn create fundraising opportunities for IWI.

o Develop and maintain relations with fellow NGOs as well as with those women whose human rights have been violated.

o Work with UK universities to plan and develop IWI student groups.

o Act as a spokesperson for IWI when required.

o Work with organisations, activists and leaders to further the goals and missions of IWI. o Collaborate with IWI teams as it relates to community outreach.

REQUIREMENTS

o Minimum academic qualification: undergraduate degree in human services administration, international development, human rights or a similar social science field;

o Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, demonstrated leadership abilities, solid management skills and success in developing and leading strategic projects with proven results;

o Comfortable with outreach and cold calling are necessary;

o Outstanding quantitative and qualitative intellectual abilities are essential;

o Proficiency with database, presentation, and spreadsheet applications is required

o Candidates must have a thoughtful and practical approach to problem-solving and a genuine passion for women’s human rights, and share IWI’s vision and mission;

o Well-developed oral and written communication skills are a must;

o Ideal candidate must be self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity;

o Demonstrated commitment to the values of diversity, inclusiveness and empowerment
