Recruiting Organization: LONA Project

We are looking to fill 2 volunteer positions to assist with social media account management and content creation. These positions are unpaid, but ideal for those looking to add to their portfolio and/or resume. Must be able to commit 2-7 hours per week***.

LONA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in San Francisco, CA. Our mission is to invest in women’s ability to create economic opportunities for themselves and their communities. Through grants, pro bono services, and access to social capital, we offer the investment a woman may need to jumpstart her education or entrepreneurial dreams. You will be a part of a pro bono support team for a grantee in the beauty salon industry who needs support with building a social media presence for her new hair salon business.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

POSITION 1: Content Creation

• Create cohesive graphics/content for social media posts & stories 1-2 times a week
• Meet client needs & contribute ideas for growth

POSITION 2: Account Management

• Maintain social media calendar and schedule posts
• Assist with captions, hashtags, and engagement
• Meet client needs & contribute ideas for growth

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Can commit to a minimum of 3 months (2-7 hours per week)
• Has a passion for women's empowerment and social impact
• Organized & Reliable
• Experience with Canva or Photoshop/Illustrator
• Creative experience (i.e. graphic design, marketing, writing, visual arts)
• Proficient with social media platforms (mainly Instagram)
• Able to schedule/plan social media content

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Bilingual- English/Spanish
• Experience with social media management
• Experience working with vulnerable populations/economically disadvantaged communities
• Knowledge of the hair salon industry would be beneficial but is not required
