Recruiting Organization: Permanent Commission on the Status of Women in Connecticut

Responsibilities:

Website, Linkedin Presence

  • Ensure that the PCSW Linkedin presence is current, reflecting current developments
  • With production intern, manage and oversee website updates, design, etc.

Fundraising/Account Management

  • Maintain a PCSW PayPal Account
  • Issue receipts from gifts received by the PCSW and Acknowledgement Letters
  • Maintain Bank Account
  • Keep track of PCSW expenses (ZOOM, SquareSpace, Survey Monkey, etc.), assist in processing of expense reports
  • Assist Fundraising professional with upkeep of fundraising documents, development of fundraising materials, etc.

Administrative Filings

  • Make administrative filings with the state of CT related to 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) status
  • Maintain file of intern offer and acceptance letters

Infrastructure of Organization/ Event logistics

  • Maintain shares drives, make sure all documentation is properly kept, online filing, etc.
  • Winter/Spring 2022: Latinx events; assist with logistics and coordination of events

Board Communication

  • Work with ED on important function of Board Liaison, setting up Board meetings and logistics, communicating with Board
  • With Infrastructure intern, responsible for uniform branding of social media and website
  • Production of branding campaigns

Time/Professional Commitment

  • Attendance at all Group Meetings: Mondays and Thursdays, 9:00 AM
  • 15 hours per week, during work hours (M-F from 9-5)
  • Early communication if time frame cannot be met
  • Timely response to all emails - ideally within 2 hours if during workday. By 10:00 AM next business morning if sent over the weekend or after hours
  • At least 30 days notice if must leave PCSW employment
  • Full time or part time
  • Location: Position is currently fully virtual

Skills

  • Excellent word, power point, email, excel, and other software skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Team player: able to work in a collaborate, flat organization
  • Interested in proving self and taking on more responsibility as proves self on tasks
  • Passion for the PCSW mission
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and challenging yet supportive environment
