Diversity in Food and Beverage is the first food and beverage-focused nonprofit organization that supports all spectrums of diversity by providing career, guidance, scholarships, educational seminars, and other resources.
Our nonprofit, Diversity in Food and Beverage, has created a pledge website for the global food and beverage industry. DIFB Pledge is a website that hosts the Diversity in Food and Beverage Pledge and displays the diversity and inclusion actions and initiatives of the signatories. Signatories are the heads of companies, organizations, publications, and associations within the international food and beverage community. The purpose of this site is to encourage transparency, establish best practices, and provide a centralized location to search and find diversity and inclusion initiatives.
We are looking for a Pledge Campaign Coordinator for the overall managing and promotion of our pledge site. The Pledge site coordinator will work remotely with numerous stakeholders and signatories to the pledge.
Job Description
- Engage and research potential signatories to support and sign the pledge.
- Review and respond to questions from signatories through email and via DocuSign.
- Collect and review the pledge information sent by potential signatories.
- Send and receive information packages and documents for signatories.
- Manage the pledge website and make edits/changes as needed via the Wix website platform.
- Maintain an Airtable database of pledge signatories and their initiatives.
- Plan and execute the pledge campaign from its current soft launch.
- Support and Promote the pledge site through social media platforms.
- Engage in other relevant activities related to the pledge needed.
Job Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality, food, and beverage is an asset.
- Ability to learn independently and to quickly learn about the project.
- Experience with Airtable is a plus.
- Passion for diversity and inclusion.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or currently enrolled in a college or university.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-starter: Ability to work online remotely and to work independently with minimal supervision and to take charge, ownership and accountability for work performed.
- Availability of up to 15 hours per week. Must be able to attend biweekly team meetings during normal business hours [30 minutes to an hour, can be adjusted based on other scheduling conflicts of volunteer]
This is a volunteer position, however as our organization grows, in the future there may be paid opportunities as an independent contractor in the longer term, based on volunteer performance and organizational budget. This volunteer position is not a guarantee of paid future opportunities, but an opportunity to learn and grow and to simultaneously build a resumé.
