Construction Crew Volunteer
WHO YOU REPORT TO: Construction Director/Volunteer Coordinator
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO WORK ON:
You will contribute to the various aspects of home building. Most of the home construction work completed on the Habitat of Island County homes is performed by volunteers. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Training, Tools and all safety equipment will be provided. Build site is open Wednesday-Saturday, 8:30am-4:30pm.

Creating a more compassionate and just world, Habitat for Humanity of Island County (HFHIC) brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Your role is to contribute to the construction of HFHIC homes, which will be safe, decent, and affordable shelter for hardworking, low-income families.
Positions Duties Include:
- Review job tasks with Construction Director
- Follow directions of Construction Director to complete tasks
- Adhere to construction safety requirements
- Clean-up work area at end of shift
- Complete assigned jobs to best of ability
- Tasks include, but are not limited to: painting, hammering, using power tools, sawing, cleaning, site preparation and other related tasks
- Willingness to learn, help and have fun!
Skills and Requirements:
- You must be 16 years or older
- Ability to follow clear instruction to complete tasks
- Willingness to learn various construction duties and work on all tasks
- Sensitivity to socioeconomical and cultural diversity
- Volunteers with construction experience or those who learn quickly may be asked to become Crew Leaders
