Recruiting Organization: Flint National Service Accelerator

In partnership with the University of Michigan Flint Department of Public Safety, the United Way of Genesee County and Flint Urban Safety and Health Corps are seeking AmeriCorps Members to implement initiatives to enhance public safety and increase community involvement.


Flint Urban Safety and Health AmeriCorps members will serve either full-time (37 hours per week/1700 hours per year) or half-time (18 hours per week/900 hour per year). Flint Urban Safety and Health AmeriCorps Members will serve within the University of Michigan Flint Department of Public Safety, primarily supporting Neighborhood Revitalization, Community Outreach, and Public Safety. Duties will include conducting community outreach regarding Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), organizing and conducting neighborhood cleanups, supporting neighborhood revitalization through beautification and blight removal, and much more.
