Recruiting Organization: First Amendment Museum
The First Amendment Museum is seeking volunteers to give guided tours. Located in Augusta, Maine, the First Amendment Museum is a relatively new, non-partisan museum dedicated to promoting the practice and understanding of the First Amendment to the US Constitution - freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.
The tour guides will be expected to work closely with museum staff to help conduct guided tours for the general public and carry out various duties pertinent to Museum projects.
These positions require the ability to work onsite at the First Amendment Museum on weekdays.
Qualifications:
- Interest in museums and/or civic education
- Passion for First Amendment freedoms
- Enthusiasm for working with the public
- Excellent computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Drive a plus.
