Recruiting Organization: Literacy Volunteers of Methuen
Literacy Volunteers of Methuen provides free, confidential, one-on-one tutoring to adults who wish to gain basic literacy skills or learn English. Tutors are trained and provided with ongoing support and resources from the Nevins Memorial Library.
Attending a 1-hour orientation session and a 12-hour, 3-week training program is mandatory. After completion of training, tutors will be matched with a student with whom they will work for at least 9 to 12 months for 2 hours every week.
Tutors make a real difference in their students' lives-many students go on to earn professional credentials, U.S. citizenship, and academic achievements.
Join us for our next information sessions to learn everything about how to become a tutor. They will take place at the Nevins Memorial Library (305 Broadway, Methuen MA) on the following dates:
Monday, August 23, 7-8pm
Wednesday, August 25, 7-8pm
Thursday, August 26, 10-11am
Reach out to us if you have any questions. (Phone: (978)686-4080 x32, email: LitVolMeth@gmail.com).
We hope to see you there!
