Recruiting Organization: Amedisys Hospice- Monongahela, PA

Amedisys Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program aims to pair recruited Veteran volunteers with our Veteran Hospice patients. Veteran volunteers have the distinct ability to relate and connect with Veteran patients. Volunteer volunteers can make a difference in a variety of ways including: provide companionship, visit veterans on Veterans Day, participate in pinning ceremonies, and reminisce with veterans and family members.

If you are or know a Veteran with a passion for caring for others and looking to serve your fellow Veterans, consider becoming a Veteran Hospice volunteer. You can choose you area and days!

Coverage area includes Southern Pittsburgh communities, Mon Valley communities (Belle Vernon, Charleroi, Monessen, Donora, Elizabeth, West Mifflin, California, Brownsville, Beallsville, Bentleyville, Monongahela). And all surrounding communities.

Amedisys Hospice travels to wherever our patients call home. Whether it be in a skilled nursing facility, a personal care home, an assisted living facility, or even their own private home, The Amedisys Hospice team will service patients regardless of their location.

Volunteers are a crucial part of our hospice team! Giving the gift of time is sometimes the best gift anybody can ever give. Please, let us help you make a difference in someone's life!

*** Due to the COVID-19 virus, there may be some restrictions in certain facilities and patient's homes. We are operating on a case by case basis depending on who is allowed to be in certain places. ***
