Help us keep blood drives running smoothly and prevent a blood shortage!

Blood Drive Donor Ambassadors provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service and enhance the donor experience. Each blood donor deserves to be treated as an honored guest! Engage with donors to make the donation experience fulfilling and set the stage for a long-term commitment to regular blood donations.

Within a COVID-19 environment, Blood Drive Donor Ambassadors also serve the critical role of protecting the health and safety of donors and staff by managing donor temperature checks and maintaining the cleanliness of donor waiting areas. Volunteers are asked to wear PPE, and are provided with appropriate equipment during their shift(s).

*This position is needed for blood drives all over Genesee and Orleans Counties!*

***Safety First! Our need for volunteers is constant and our guidelines reflect the latest CDC safety recommendations and follow the national and local government laws. COVID-19 vaccination will be required for in-person volunteer roles beginning January 3, 2022.

Qualifications:

• Background check
• Must be at least 16 (with parental permission provided for ages 16-17)
• Online and in-person training (provided by the American Red Cross for free)
• Willing and able to volunteer in-person at area blood drives
• Basic computer navigation skills
