Recruiting Organization: American Red Cross in Eastern New York

Healthy individuals are needed to volunteer at a blood drives to ensure a healthy supply of lifesaving blood. Please rest assured that we are working with public health officials to help keep local communities and our volunteers safe.

Virtual Training Provided!

Provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the blood donor experience. Engage with blood donors to promote blood donation and set the stage for a long-term commitment to regular blood donations. Includes donor receptionist and canteen positions at area blood drives.

- Welcome and greet donors, assist with initial intake

- Ensure blood donors have relevant information and that questions are answered appropriately

- Attend to donors at the end of the process by recognizing and providing snacks as needed

*Commit 4-6 hour shifts at least once per month.

*The highest need for help generally falls on weekday mornings and afternoons.
