The Institute for the Advancement of Women’s Health (IAWH)

is seeking a part-time writer/editor for the production of an electronic

newsletter to be delivered twice monthly, between January and June 2022.

The newsletter will offer short support articles for participants of a six-month hypertension

control program. The program combines online learning with monthly group

physical activities such as yoga, tai-chi, pilates, walks, and meditation. The

program explores diet and nutrition options like plant-based and dairy-free

eating, and one on one and small group support. Newsletter articles will

encourage program participants, offer spotlights of featured clinicians and

presenters, and suggest the use of online, evidence based tools and resources

to support hypertension control.

This position is ideal for a public health student, teacher,

or someone with a health/ wellness background and someone looking to gain

experience working for a nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will

work approximately five hours per month and work directly with IAWH staff.

Requirements:

Excellent writing and editing skills.

Experience conducting interviews.

Interest in women’s health.

Ability to work remotely.

Take direction, but also make innovative suggestions.

Able to identify evidence-based tools and resources online.
