Recruiting Organization: World Roma Federation

The World Roma Federation seeks a professional to design and coordinate special events and fundraising efforts to fulfill our mission. As well as, create enrichment programs, academic and recreational opportunities for the Roma youth so that they can realize their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens. The ideal candidate will be in charge of fundraising and development, with the goal of identifying new donors and increasing annual public/corporate contributions to the organization. Attending our community events to promote the Federation is required.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute The World Roma's Nonprofit's annual fundraising plan
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
  • Manage the implementation of our organizational software and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
  • Creating and executing a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
  • Overseeing organization of special events
  • Developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising

Qualifications

  • BA (required), MA (a plus)
  • Five-plus years experience in development
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
