Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County

The Self-Help Centers are free walk-in clinics created to help people help themselves. Litigants receive one-on-one assistance with legal forms and information seeking legal recourse without a lawyer. The Center does NOT provide legal advice or representation. Rather, it is a resource Center with information, books, and PEOPLE available to guide an individual through the judicial process.

The Center assist litigants with divorce, custody, visitation, eviction, parental rights, name change and gives out appropriate referrals.

As a volunteer, you will be working directly with litigants. You will be assisting litigants complete court documents for family law and housing law matters.

Our Centers are located in the following Court Houses: Van Nuys, Chatsworth, Lancaster, and Pomona.
