The Heath and Home Care Society of BC is an independent and locally based non-profit organization. The Meals on Wheels Program serves over 400 meals per day to isolated seniors in Vancouver, Richmond and the North Shore.

We need your help! We are looking for volunteers to deliver meals to seniors on week day mornings. One to two hours once a week is all it takes to help!

Volunteers deliver meals in our community by car or by bicycle. In addition to a hot meal, volunteers provide a friendly chat and an informal safety check on our clients. Typically, our volunteers commit to delivery once per week, however, we are willing to work around how much time you have to give.

Current Volunteer Positions available:

Meal Delivery Route Driver

Route drivers pick up meals from a depot then deliver hot meals directly to clients, providing a friendly visit and informal check on their safety.

Shifts: Flexible; between 10:30 am-1:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Kitchen Meal Courier

Kitchen meal couriers bring the meals in batches to various depots across Vancouver and Richmond; they also return the previous day’s empty meal bags back to the kitchen.

Shifts: Flexible; between 9:30-11 am OR 1-2pm weekdays only.

We provide orientation, support and mileage reimbursement for drivers.
