JOIN THE MOVEMENT

Public Allies Arizona is changing the face and practice of leadership throughout Arizona communities by demonstrating our conviction that everyone can lead, and that lasting change results when citizens of all backgrounds step up, take responsibility, and work together.

We are currently seeking young activists, creators, aspiring entrepreneurs, civic engagers, and dreamers to take charge in their communities. We offer a 10-month, full time PAID apprenticeship program within local nonprofits and state agencies aimed at advancing social justice and equity by engaging and activating the leadership of all young people.

The West Valley Arts (WVA) enriches the West Valley by growing a vibrant and connected arts and cultural community. The West Valley Arts serves 13 municipalities in the West Valley as an advisory, creator, and coordinator for arts programs including arts venues, grants management, arts festivals, public art, arts education, and regional arts promotion.

The Ally, in collaboration with the Gallery Director, will continue to develop IMPRINT to include lectures, teacher aids, and expand the educational workshops and visual and performing arts programming supporting and celebrating African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Indigenous Americans. The Ally will outline and implement program and data collection tools that will track demographic involvement and evaluate program effectiveness in its outreach and impact to the community. The Ally will develop and implement the Indigenous Americans cultural series, Weaving Indigenous Americans’ Stories, for its inaugural launch in 2022. The Ally will further develop the structure for the arts & cultural programming for African Americans in the Arts and ¡Viva la Cultura! Series. The Ally will create and implement collection tools for evaluation and a plan for expanding outreach for each of the cultural series to all 13 West Valley communities.
