Recruiting Organization: Women's Campaign International

Women’s Campaign International is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit with 23 years of experience working with people around the world to identify community issues, raise awareness, and engage key stakeholders. During the COVID-19 pandemic, WCI has built off our advocacy programs and pivoted our international efforts to launch a new initiative in Philadelphia: the COFAR Ambassadors Program (Covid-free Ambassadors and Representatives). College and high school students of any gender are invited to be paid to build key advocacy skills with local professionals in the field, gain real experience in community engagement, and make an impact here in Philadelphia.

COFAR Ambassadors will attend a short advocacy skills training webinar with the pros to learn how to craft a message in the digital media age, strategize an innovative outreach campaign, and drive social change. They will also attend a short webinar facilitated by a local health professional about vaccine hesitancy and access in their communities. Next, Ambassadors will collaborate with peers and trauma-informed COFAR coaches to implement their plan to engage community members and empower them to make an informed choice about vaccination.

Ambassadors will be compensated for their time in each of the two webinars with a $25 visa gift card and can earn more incentives by helping members of their community make the choice to get vaccinated.

Students from marginalized communities are strongly encouraged to join the COFAR team.
