Recruiting Organization: Philadelphia Community Corps

Philadelphia Community Corps is seeking volunteers with experience in construction, retail, marketing, real estate, law and fundraising to serve on our board of directors. Board members meet quarterly (virtually, on zoom calls, during the pandemic) and as needed on committee assignments.

Successful applicants will have an interest in sustainability, salvaging the Philadelphia region's unmatched building stock and architectural adornments, providing legal guidance as needed, connecting with partner organizations and raising funds.

Philadelphia Community Corps (PCC) was incorporated in 2011 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, with the goal of training inner city youth in the skills of salvage and deconstruction of abandoned buildings to assist in revitalizing blighted neighborhoods in the Philadelphia region. By 2014, tax benefits for property owners and the Philly Reclaim retail experience were added to the business model to ensure exponential growth and long term sustainability for Philadelphia Community Corps.
