Recruiting Organization: South Coast Botanic Garden

The South Coast Botanic Garden is looking for SOAR Guides to help with the opening of our newest butterfly pavilion exhibit, SOAR Monarch Migration! Come teach guests about the butterfly lifecycle, Monarch migration, and the importance of caring for these local pollinators.


We require that SOAR Guides are active volunteers at the Garden. (No minimum amount of volunteer hours is required to be considered an active volunteer) Here are the steps one must complete to become an active volunteer:

1. Fill out our one-time Volunteer Registration. This way we will have all of your up to date contact information. Click HERE to fill out your volunteer registration

2. Sign up for our in-person Basic Training. In Basic Training you’ll learn all about the Garden and its policies, our volunteer program, what to expect as a volunteer, and all of our current volunteer opportunities. SIGN UP HERE for an in-person Basic Training

Once you've completed Basic Training, you are eligible to sign up for SOAR Guide Training HERE.

*Please keep in mind that we adhere to Los Angeles County Guidelines and require that volunteers are at least 15 years of age
